  1. I think the most important things you need to figure out is why you’re using social media. Is it to stay in touch, to build your brand, to increase sales etc. Depending on your answer how you use social media varies significantly.

    • I agree with you Nishadha – the way we use social media for business depends on why we are using it!
      Points are taken though, when it comes to grammar and coming across as a professional – this really makes sense and i’m sure in many cases people have neglected this fact and lost clients/sales/opportunities due to it.

        There must be some statistics on the loss of sales which is down to poor grammar. That said, I think you can be to pedantic. If you are buying a Facebook add, do you really need a full stop, and should you not be using abbreviations? Each character can cost a lot!
